“The joy of working with a team to deliver the best possible care for my patients has been a fundamental driver for the two decades that I’ve been practicing as a family, restorative, and cosmetic dentist. I strive to form lasting, meaningful relationships with my patients and their families, as well as my fellow team members and other specialists in order to make beautiful and healthy smiles in a caring and relaxing environment.”

Education

“My formation as a dental professional started with my degree from the University of Marilia Dental School. With a successful career in Sao Paulo underway, I moved on to complete advanced training from the University of Sao Paulo Dental School in Pediatric Dentistry, Special Needs Patient Care, and Dental Aesthetics. My life journey eventually led me to the United States, where I completed an externship in Prosthodontics at UCLA and obtained my DMD from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine.”

Life & Hobbies

Outside of the office, Dr. McLendon enjoys spending time with her wonderful family and traveling whenever possible. She is a mountain bike enthusiast and has been drawn toward the ocean and beaches ever since her childhood in Salvador, Bahia, in the Northeast Region of Brazil.

Dr. Barylyak loves spending free time with her family and their energetic husky puppy. They enjoy exploring the outdoors together—visiting farms, local festivals, parks, museums, and nearby beaches. She also finds joy in reading and listening to audiobooks whenever she gets a quiet moment.
